About the Day

CETA is proud to announce the founding of the National Controlled Environment Certifier Day! Each year on November 5, we will celebrate a day dedicated to recognizing the skilled professionals who test and certify controlled environments across industries. From pharmaceuticals and healthcare to aerospace and semiconductor manufacturing, these experts ensure that cleanrooms and critical spaces meet the highest standards of performance and safety.

Every mission-critical cleanroom or controlled environment relies on one often-invisible professional: the controlled environment certifier.

Why We Celebrate

Controlled environment certifiers play a vital role in industries that affect public health, technology, and scientific advancement. This day raises awareness of their contribution to:

  • Maintaining cleanroom performance and compliance with ISO 14644 and other industry standards.
  • Protecting the integrity of sterile and high-precision environments.
  • Ensuring safety and quality across mission-critical facilities worldwide.

CETA established this day to recognize these dedicated professionals and highlight the essential role of certification in maintaining global standards of excellence.

National Day Origins

The Controlled Environment Testing Association proudly sponsored the creation of National Controlled Environment Certifier Day in 2025. CETA is the industry’s leading voice for advancing education, standards, and professional credentialing within controlled environments.

Through its National Board of Testing (CNBT), CETA maintains rigorous certification programs for cleanroom certifiers, ensuring that professionals across the industry are trained and assessed to the highest standards of competency and ethics.
