Mission & Goal

The mission of CNBT Committee is to provide support and guidance to the CNBT Administrator and CETA Board liaison, with the goal of assisting in maintaining the integrity of the CNBT program. 

Committee Member Description:

The CETA National Board of Testing seeks Committee Member volunteers who bring knowledge, experience, genuine interest, and most importantly a passion for advancing the CNBT core mission. Committee members measure, qualify, and recognize those members of the industry who exhibit knowledge, experience, dedication and desire to serve within the controlled environment industry with integrity and perseverance.

To serve as a CNBT committee member, volunteers should have at minimum:

  • Employer support for committee service
  • Employer support for the time commitment required  
  • A willingness to understand the daily operations of CNBT
  • A willingness to attend bi-weekly scheduled meetings
  • A commitment to be available for decision making
  • Knowledge of controlled environment testing procedures
  • Experience in the industry 
  • Experience with the CNBT exams process
  • A willingness to understand psychometric exam evaluations
 

Committee Scope

  • CNBT Committee shall consist of three (3) to five (5) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) selected through the volunteer application process outlined in the CETA Volunteer Policy. 
  • CNBT Committee shall approve Written Practical Examiners. 
  • CNBT Committee shall oversee the credentialing process and resolve any issues, irregularities, or disputes related to exam administration, eligibility determinations, or related credentialing requirements. 
  • CNBT Committee shall oversee the issuance of certification credentials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality. 
  • CNBT Committee shall review and update the CNBT Policy as needed with Board approval.
  • CNBT Committee shall monitor CNBT webpages to ensure content remains accurate and current.  
  • CNBT Committee shall review and approve proposed CNBT exam administration dates. 
  • CNBT Committee shall monitor and assess security measures for the CNBT program on an ongoing basis.  

Time Commitment
  • (2) Monthly Meetings for approximately 60 minutes.
  • Apart from monthly meetings, plan to contribute 5-10 hours/month to support action items and committee initiatives.
